Some benefits of the Mast Climbing Work Platform (MCWP)
Speed of Installation
- Erected and dismantled quickly compared to traditional access types.
- Coverage to an elevation 60m high by 20m wide can be achieved by 2 men in 2 working
days and dismantled in half the time.
- This equates to 62m2 per hour.
Minimal Noise
- Powered by 32amp 3-phase electricity.
- Units are therefore reliable and quiet during operation which benefits the residents
in and around the structure, reducing complaints of noise pollution.
Less Obtrusive
- Unobtrusive on the ground, and on the elevation itself which causes minimal intrusion
to existing shops, or entrances at ground level.
- Platform drives up the elevation to its working position leaving most of the
elevation clear.
- Reduced complaints from residents about feeling ‘shut in’ by a scaffold structure.
Right Height
- The deck can be driven to exactly the right height for installation at the touch
of a button and then loaded with all the relevant materials.
- Efficiency improved by ability to lift materials and installers together to an
'inch perfect' working height.
Security
- Can be ‘parked’ at ground or first floor level, and fully immobilised, when not
in use.
- Huge benefit to residents, with no access to the elevation during the night,
or at times when installers are not working on the elevation, which reduces possibility
of theft or vandalism to homes.
Minimal Tying Required
- A 50m high by 20m wide elevation can require as little as 6 ties, (3 per mast),
reducing disruption of the working face.
- Models also available to achieve 30m high by 24m wide with no interruption from
ties.
